Costa Calida

This region boasts over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, and its coastline is bathed by the warm waters of two seas. Its coast is known as the Costa Cálida (the balmy coast) and is home to endless beaches and small coves which offer multiple options for leisure, sports and well-being.

One of the most attractive areas is La Manga del Mar Menor, the ideal destination for relaxing and enjoying the sea and the activities in its marine resort. You’ll also find long white sandy beaches that run the full 21 KLM of La Manga where you can swim, enjoy water sports, or just simply relax and soak up the sun and tranquillity while the children play. Cartagena

The second-largest city in the Murcia region, is a historic port town perfect for a day out. You can enjoy stunning sights, watch cruise ships, shopping and explore scenic streets filled with cosy cafes, bars, and restaurants.

The city is rich in history, with numerous Roman, Byzantine, and Moorish ruins. It was the main base for the Republican Navy during the Spanish Civil War and features well-preserved sites, including a 1st-century Roman theatre, the second largest on the Iberian Peninsula.

Beach overview

Cartagena’s vibrant city centre offers a charming atmosphere, while beautiful beaches like Cala Cortina are just a short drive away. If you’re visiting from La Manga Mar Menor, consider staying overnight to fully experience the city. Be sure to purchase historical site tickets at the main museum or the tourist information office, rather than from street vendors.

Parking is available but be mindful of pay-and-display regulations. There is a noticeable police presence, which adds to the feeling of safety for tourists. Take your time to explore and enjoy all that this amazing city has to offer!

La Manga del Mar Menor

La Manga is renowned for its miles of sandy beaches that stretch along both sides of the 21klm peninsula, where you can enjoy the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the beautiful Mar Menor Salt Lake on the other. You can literally walk from the sea to the lake in just minutes, which is how La Manga got its name, “two seas.”

The Mediterranean Sea is perfect for both waves and calm waters, while the Mar Menor Lake is shallow and warm with no waves, making it ideal for children and those who prefer shallow water.

Tomas Mastre Marina is the ideal destination for dining, drinking, and enjoying life. Located at KLM14, it offers everything you need. You can watch yachts sailing in and out beneath the impressive bridge, which rises every few hours to allow boats to pass.

La Manga del Mar Menor stretches for 21 kilometres and offers a variety of wonderful activities to enjoy, with the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Mar Menor on the other. During the summer, this pristine location transforms into a true haven and paradise.

Benissa

Benissa is a town on the eastern coast of Spain, in the province of Alicante and the autonomous community of Valencia. As of September 2021, it had a population of around 14,000. Moraira

Moraira is a small coastal town belonging to Teuada, located on the eastern coast of Spain, in the province of Alicante, within the autonomous community of Valencia. It is part of the Costa Blanca region, known for its beautiful Mediterranean beaches and picturesque landscapes.

One of the main attractions of Moraira is its stunning coastline, featuring sandy beaches and rocky coves. The Playa de l’Ampolla and Playa del Portet are two of the most popular beaches in the area, offering crystal-clear waters and a relaxing atmosphere.
